Adapting to climate change

The Surrey Climate Change Partnership (SCCP) and its county-wide Climate Change Strategyincludea common objective to work together to adapt to the inevitable effects of climate change. By learning from existing good practice, successful adaptation projects can be rolled out and applied in other local authority areas. A sub group of the SCCP officer group has been convened and the first meeting was held on 26 January 2010. Next steps from the group include:

  • Establish Terms of Reference for the sub group and its future activities.
  • Gap analysis of NI 188 activities across Surrey local authorities.
  • Capacity building to help authorities progress through NI 188 reporting levels.
  • Progression of Surreys initial Local Climate Impacts Profile (LCLIP) study.
  • Liaison with Climate South East on existing good practice adaptation case studies.

Progress of the sub group will be recorded on this website.
