The focus of year/ phase two of the SICP has shifted from strategic infrastructure needs (that delivered on a countywide or sub regional basis) to district and borough infrastructure needs (that with a local catchment). Core activity is supporting the development of district and borough infrastructure delivery plans (IDPs). These set out what/ how/ when/ where and who will provide infrastructure to support housing & employment levels in district and borough Core Strategies and how this will be funded. A set of milestones has been agreed to assess/ benchmark progress towards completion of IDPs by the end of June 2010.
-
By 31 December 2009 - each Local Planning Authority to identify commitments from existing programmes.
-
By 28 February 2010 - consider local governance / partnership arrangements and how authorities are working together on community development.
-
By 30 April 2010 - each Local Planning Authority should have made good progress on a baseline of existing facilities and condition.
-
By 30 June 2010 - each Local Planning Authority should have made an assessment of future requirements, through discussions with key providers such as PCT, emergency services and county council services.
These milestones can either be worked on sequentially or simultaneously.
